These chocolate-covered Snickers dates have a real chance of replacing your current favourite homemade dessert because they are decadent, healthy, and so delicious! This recipe for snickers dates is similar to our peanut butter stuffed dates but goes one step further because it is coated in melted chocolate and has a creamy and crunchy centre.
Ingredients
- Medjool dates, pitted (as many as you’d like to make)
- Roasted salted peanuts
- Caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Dark chocolate (or milk chocolate if preferred)
- Optional: Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Take each pitted Medjool date and open it slightly.
- Fill the date with a roasted salted peanut and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
- Gently close the date around the filling.
- Repeat the process for the desired number of Snickers dates.
For Chocolate Coating
- Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Dip each filled date into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Place the chocolate-coated dates on a parchment-lined tray.
Optional
- If desired, sprinkle a tiny amount of sea salt on top of each chocolate-coated date before the chocolate sets.
- Allow the chocolate to set by placing the tray in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
