Description
Fresh nettle juice is a vivacious spring tonic that is rich in vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. Your incredibly nutritious green juice may be made in a matter of minutes with just a few simple components.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of stinging nettle leaves, loosely packed (a little stem is ok, it will be strained out)
- 3 cups of clean water
- About half of a medium apple, or 1/2 cup, chopped apple
- Lemon juice, two tablespoons
- 3–4 slices of ginger
- a pinch of salt (i like pink himalayan sea salt)
- Instructions
- Add the water to the mixer.
- Add salt, lemon juice, ginger pieces, and apple chunks.
- Nettle should be carefully added to the blender using tongs or gloves.
- Nettle should be fully liquidised after one minute of high-speed blending.
- If desired, blend in ice cubes.
- Through a filter with a fine sieve, pour.
- Best when consumed immediately.
