Sweet Wontons With Pineapple Mango Dip

Posted on August 3, 2023August 3, 2023 By Admin No Comments on Sweet Wontons With Pineapple Mango Dip

This wonton dish is jam-packed with all of the best summer flavours. It’s also really simple to make: all you need are a few common ingredients! If fresh fruit is not available, you can use canned pineapple and mango, which will taste just as nice.

Ingredients

For the Sweet Wontons

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup diced fresh fruits (such as bananas, strawberries, or apples)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil or melted vegan butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the Pineapple Mango Dip

  • 1 cup diced fresh pineapple
  • 1 cup diced fresh mango
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Instructions

For the Sweet Wontons

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface.
  4. Place a small amount of diced fresh fruits (about 1 teaspoon) in the center of the wonton wrapper.
  5. Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water.
  6. Fold the wonton wrapper diagonally, forming a triangle shape, and press the edges firmly to seal.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining wonton wrappers and fruits.
  8. Brush the sealed wontons with coconut oil or melted vegan butter.
  9. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the wontons.
  10. Place the sweet wontons on the prepared baking sheet.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the wontons turn golden brown and crispy.

For the Pineapple Mango Dip

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the diced fresh pineapple, diced fresh mango, agave syrup or maple syrup, and fresh lime juice.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl.

To Serve

Arrange the sweet wontons on a plate alongside the pineapple mango dip.
