Spirulina Sea Salad recipe

Spirulina Sea Salad

Posted on March 9, 2023April 3, 2023 By Admin

This Spirulina Sea Salad is a great source of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, and calcium. Spirulina is also a complete protein, meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids that our bodies need but cannot produce on their own. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups mixed seaweed (such as nori, wakame, and dulse), soaked in water for 10-15 minutes and drained
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Spirulina powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the soaked seaweed, red onion, and cilantro.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, Spirulina powder, olive oil, tamari or soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, and sea salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the dressing over the seaweed mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
