Baked Vegan Camembert

Any time of the year, Camembert makes a delicious appetiser. Additionally, it’s the ideal starter dish for the holiday season! It’s quite simple to make, just takes 15 minutes from beginning to end, and tastes absolutely amazing!

Ingredients

  • 1 round of vegan camembert cheese (around 200g)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Bread slices or crackers, to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Remove the camembert from its packaging and place it in a baking dish or oven-proof ramekin.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, dried thyme, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and black pepper.
  4. Spoon the mixture over the camembert, making sure it’s coated on all sides.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is soft and gooey.
  6. Serve immediately with bread slices or crackers.
