This Spirulina Sea Salad is a great source of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, and calcium. Spirulina is also a complete protein, meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids that our bodies need but cannot produce on their own. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups mixed seaweed (such as nori, wakame, and dulse), soaked in water for 10-15 minutes and drained
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon Spirulina powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the soaked seaweed, red onion, and cilantro.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, Spirulina powder, olive oil, tamari or soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, and sea salt until well combined.
- Pour the dressing over the seaweed mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
