Veggie burgers that are mushy and flavourless are no more! This quinoa burger has the ideal amount of spice, acidity, and heartiness, as well as perfectly crisp edges.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked quinoa
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked quinoa, black beans, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, cilantro, and egg. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into 6 patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties in the skillet for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve the quinoa burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.
